Using Comments

You can use comments to provide information about an Application object, a Window, a DataWindow, a Menu, or a user object. For example, in a user object, comments might document the functionality of the object and in an inherited window the comments might describe what features were modified in the descendent.

When you save an Application object, a Window, a DataWindow, Menu or a user object, you can associate comments with the object. These comments displays in the select window when you open a painter and in the Library Painter if the Comments option on the View Menu is checked.

You can modify comments associated with objects when you use Save As to save the object.

TIP:      In the Library Painter, you can associate comments with a Library when you create the library and can use Modify Library Comments on the Options menu to add library comments or to modify existing library comments.
