If your site has multiple databases, you can change the current database in the Database Painter, the DataWindow Painter, the Declare Cursor Painter, and the Declare Procedure painter.  When you change databases, the change is in effect until you change the database again; the new database becomes the default database in Preferences.

TIP:   You can change the default database in Preferences.

To change databases:

  1. Select Change Database from the File Menu.  The Change Database window lists the available databases and information required for the current database.
  2. Select the name of the new database from the list or enter it in the Database Name box.
  3. Enter a new id in the User ID box if necessary.
  4. Enter a new password in the Password box if necessary.  The password displays as asterisks (*).
  5. Click the OK button.  The new database is now the current database.
