In the Edit Style option in the DataWindow Painter, you can specify whether you want PowerBuilder to select the contents of a line edit automatically when the column receives focus.

To use this option:

  1. Double-click the name and number of the column in which you want the contents selected automatically.  The Column window displays.
  2. Click the Edit radio button in the Edit Style box.
  3. Click the Edit Style button.  The Edit Style window displays the line edit style options.  If the column has a DataWindow code table, PowerBuilder also displays the code table display and data values.
  4. Click the Auto Select check box to have PowerBuilder automatically select the contents of the line edit when the column receives focus.
