In the Data Manipulation window of the Database Painter, you can display the number of rows that are displayed in the Data manipulation window and are in the Data Manipulation buffers.

To display the row counts:

  1. Open the Data Manipulation window:
  2. Click the Data Manipulation icon in the toolbox.

    or

    Select Data Manipulation from the Objects Menu.

  3. Select About on the Rows Menu.  The About Rows window displays the number of rows that are:
    1. Displayed in the Data Manipulation Window

      In the Filtered buffer

      In the Deleted buffer

      In the Modified buffer

    TIP:   All the counts are zero until you click the Retrieve button to retrieve the data from the database.  The count will change if you modify the displayed data or test filter criteria.

  4. Click OK.  PowerBuilder closes the Rows window.
