In the Data Manipulation window of the Database painter and in the Test window of the DataWindow Painter, you can test sort criteria and filters.

In Version 1.0, this was a two step process:  specify the sort criteria or filter and the apply it. In Version 2.0, when you select Sort or Filter on the Rows Menu, a window displays in which you can specify the appropriate definition and click OK to close the window and apply the sort or filter.
