In the Debug window, you can edit the stops in the current script or in any other script in which you have set stops.

To edit stops:

  1. Click the Edit icon in the toolbox, press Ctrl+E, or select Edit Stops from the Debug Menu.  The Edit Stops window lists the scripts in which there is a stop.  The list includes the name of the object the script is for, the event that triggers the script, and the number of the line in which the stop occurs.
  2. Note:  PowerBuilder grays the Stop Sign icon when the stop is disabled.

  3. Use the buttons on the right of the window to edit the stops.
  4. To select another script for debugging, click Add.  The Select Script window displays so you can select another script.

To remove a stop, select the stop and click Remove. PowerBuilder deletes the selected stop.

To remove all the stops, click Clear All.  PowerBuilder deletes all the stops.

To enable a disabled stop, select a disabled stop (a stop with a grayed Stop Sign icon) and click Enable.  PowerBuilder enables the selected stop and displays it in the normal color.

To disable a stop, select an enabled stop and click Disable. PowerBuilder disables the selected stop and grays it.

To display stops in a script other than the current script, select the stop and click Go To.  PowerBuilder closes the Edit Stops window and displays the selected script and stop in the Debug window.

  5. Click OK to close the Edit Stops window and save your edits.

TIP:   PowerBuilder remembers where the location of the stops as long as the PowerBuilder session is active.  When you close Debug, you suspend the Debug session.  If you run Debug again during the same session, Debug resumes processing at the point at which you closed Debug.
