1. Click the Close Icon in the toolbox, press Ctrl+F4, or select Close on the File Menu.  A message box asks if you want to save the function.
2. Click the Yes button.  PowerBuilder compiles the function, saves it, and then displays the Power Panel.  To close the Function Painter without compiling and saving, click the No button.

Note:  If errors occurs during the compile, PowerBuilder marks the errors and displays the error messages in a separate window below the text.  You cannot save the function until all the errors are fixed; however, warnings do not prevent you from saving.
