When you finish working with an object that you checked out, you can use the check in feature to replace the original object with the working copy. Check in also automatically deletes the working copy from the library to which you checked it out.

TIP:   To remove the checked out status from an object without replacing the object with the working copy, use Clear Entries Check Out Status on the Utilities Menu.

To check in an entry:

  1. Open the Library Painter by clicking in the Library Painter icon on the Power Panel.
  2. Select the library containing entries you want to check in (that is the library to which the entries were checked out).
  3. Select the entries (the working copies) you want to check in.
  4. Select Check In Entries from the Utilities Menu.  PowerBuilder replaces the entries in the library with the working copies, deletes the copies from the library to which they were checked out, and then displays the Library Painter workspace.
  5. TIP:   If you selected an object that another user checked out, PowerBuilder displays a warning message and asks if you want to continue.  Click Yes to process any remaining entries.
