Sometimes you will want to clear the check out status of an object. Clearing removes the check out status from an object but does not replace the object in the library with the working copy. Also, clearing only delete the working copy if you request the deletion.
Note:You can clear the checked out status only from objects that you have checked out.
- Open the Library Painter by clicking in the Library Painter icon
on the Power Panel.
- Select the library containing objects for which you want to clear the status (that is the library to which the objects were checked out).
- Select the objects for which you want to clear the checked out status.
- Select Clear EntriesCheck Out Status from the Utilities Menu. A message box asks whether you want to delete the working copy of the first entry you selected.
TIP: If you selected an entry that another user checked out, PowerBuilder displays a warning message and asks if you want to continue. Click Yes to process any remaining entries.
- Click Yes to delete the working copy. PowerBuilder deletes the working copy and then processes the next selected entry. If you click No, PowerBuilderretains the working copy and processes the next selected entry.
After the check out status is cleared from all selected entries, the Library Painter workspace displays.
