In the Window and User Object Painters, use Align Controls on the Edit Menu to align selected Window objects.  In the DataWindow Painter, use Align Objects on the Edit Menu to adjust the spacing between columns, fields, and graphic objects in the DataWindow.

To align objects:

  1. Select the controls or objects you want to align.  The first object is the controlling object (the control or object PowerBuilder uses to align the other selected controls or objects).
  2. TIP:   To select multiple controls, objects or DataWindow columns, press Ctrl and click the controls, objects, or columns you want to select.

  3. Select Align menu itemfrom the Edit Menu.  The alignment options display.
  4. Click the option that represents the way you want to align the selection controls, objects, or columns:
    1. Vertically on the left edge of the controlling object

Vertically on the center of the controlling object

Vertically on the right edge of the controlling object

Horizontally on the top of the controlling object

Horizontally on the center of the controlling object

Horizontally on the bottom of the controlling object

  5. Click the OK button to close the Align window and adjust the alignment.
