You can select the pointer as the default pointer for a window.  The pointer you select will display whenever the cursor is in the window and not in a control for which you specified another pointer.

TIP:You can also change the pointer for the window by changing the Pointer attribute in a script.

To select a pointer for a window:

  1. Select Window Style from the Design Menu.  The style options for the window display along with a model of the window. The model shows the style options that are currently in effect for the window.
  2. Click the Pointer button in the Window Style window.  The Select Pointer window displays:
    1. The pointer files in the current directory

The directories on the current drive

The stock pointers defined in the application

TIP:   To display the pointer files in another directory, select a directory from the list or enter the name of the directory in the Directory Name box.  A list of pointer files in the selected directory displays.

  3. Select a file from the list or enter the name of the file (including the extension) that contains the pointer in the Pointer Name box.
  4. Click the OK button to associate the pointer with the window.
