Custom Icon

When you customize a toolbar, you can assign a command or a menu item to a custom icon in the custom icon palette.

Tip     To edit the command line for an icon, double-click the icon in the Customize window.

To specify a command

  1. Drag an unassigned icon from the Selected Palette box and drop it on the current toolbar box where you want it to display. The Toolbar Item Command window displays.
  2. Select or enter the command you want to assign to the icon. To select a special command to run a query or report, use the buttons in the Special Command window.
  3. Tips  To search for a command, click the Browse button. The Browse window displays a list of the program files in the current directory. To display all available files, select All Files from List Files of Type dropdown listbox. You can also change the directory and drive.

To assign a command to the icon the first time you click the icon in a painter, click the OK button in the Toolbar Items Command window.

  4. Click the Run Minimized checkbox if you want to run the command as an icon. If you do not click this option, the command will run in its default size (a window for most commands).
  5. Click the OK button to assign the command and close the window.
