The table representations are now DataWindows. You will notice that by default any comments associated with a column of the table display. To hide the comments, click the right mouse button in any unused area of the workspace to display the popup menu. This popup menu also has options to open the Select Tables dialog and to arrange the tables in the workspace.
To Select or Deselect all columns in a table or to close the table in the Select painter, click the right mouse button in the title of the table. A popup menu displays the Select All, Deselect All, and Close options.
Clicking the left mouse button on a table in either painter, produces the same results as in Version 3.0.
In the Where and Having criteria tab dialogs, clicking the right mouse button in the Column column displays a popup menu with these options:
- Columns
- Functions
- Arguments
Arguments is grayed unless arguments have been defined for the Select statement. When you click the right mouse button in the Values column, two additional options displays in the popup menu: Values and Select.
Click Values to display a list of values for the selected column. If a column is not selected, this option is grayed. If the column has a large number of options, displaying the values may take some time.
Click Select to open the Nested Select window so you can define a nested select statement.
