To embed an InfoMaker report in a Microsoft Word 6.0 document, follow these steps:

1. Open a document in Word 6.0.
2. Move the insertion point to where you want the report.
3. Select Object from the Insert menu.

The Object window displays.

4. Select Powersoft 4.0 Report from the list of object types.

The InfoMaker Report painter opens.

5. Create a report.

Tip If your report is a Freeform style report, use a WHERE clause to limit the size of the result set. OLE 2.0 treats the entire report as a single page, so the report is very small even if the result set is large.

6. Select Exit from the File menu to return to Word and insert the report in the current document.
