OLE 2.0 support has been added to Version 4.0. It includes support for OLE 2.0 Container Applications and OLE 2.0 Automation.
A new type of control has been added to the Window painter which allows you to place an OLE 2.0 object on a PowerBuilder window. New PowerScript functions have been added to let you manipulate the control at runtime.
Other PowerScript functions have been added to support OLE 2.0 automation. This means that you can automate OLE 2.0 servers from within PowerBuilder. For example, you can merge data from PowerBuilder into Microsoft Word using the WordBasic language from PowerBuilder.
