InfoMaker can act as an OLE 2.0 server (or object implementor). That is, it can package reports so they can be read and embedded in (linked to) documents by any application that is written to the Microsoft compound document standard.

This means that you can open the Report painter in InfoMaker from Word, create a report, and embed it in your Word document. After the report has been embedded in the document, you can open it in the Report painter by double-clicking it. If you then modify the report, when you return to your document, the changes will display. In Word, you can move and size the report and print it.
