In 4.0, there is a new painter named Project painter.  It allows you to create and maintain project objects.  Project objects contain information for building executable files. In the project painter, you specify the File Name of the executable file and a Resource File Name (optional).  You can elect to be prompted before overwrite of .EXE and .PBDs.  You can choose to have all of the objects in the libraries regenerated before the .EXE and .PBDs are built.  For each library in the Application Library path, you can select whether or not it should be a .PBD and associate a Resource File.

Creating a project object:

Click the project button on the PowerBar. If the project painter button does not appear on your PowerBar, select Toolbars fromt the Window menu and then click the Customize button to add the project button to your PowerBar.

Select an executable file name, either an existing executable file name or a new one. This will be the name of the executable file when the project is built.

Complete the project painter workspace options.

After selecting your desired configuration, you can choose to execute the project, which will build the .EXE and any associated .PBDs.  To execute a project, you can select Build Project from the Options menu, or you can click on the Build icon on the toolbar.

Note:    You do not need to execute a project prior to saving it.

You can save the project, by selecting Save from the File menu. Once the project object has been defined, it is represented by the project object icon in the Library painter.
