PowerBuilder 5.0 includes a number of OLE custom controls (OCX) for use with the application development environment. The Component Gallery provides a collection of custom controls that encapsulate functionality that can be assembled into a larger application architecture. Other components that provide database access, network access, message handling, telecommunications and multi-media functions are now widely available. The properties, events and methods of the OLE custom controls become an extention of the standard PowerBuilder objects.
