The following ease of use and language features have been added to PowerBuilder 6.0:

• The PowerBuilder Browser is nonmodal, has updated popup menus, and has context-sensitive help
• The Library painter shows the last compiled time stamp as well as the last modified time stamp
• Toolbars  in PowerBuilder and in applications you build have a new flat look
• PowerBuilder provides support for the IntelliMouse pointing device.
• Modifying an application object under version control is easier to manage
• A new Timing object provides a Timer event that is not associated with a window
• Control property arrays of windows and Tab controls are updated when you add controls or tab pages using PowerScript functions
• The AncestorReturnValue variable provides the return value of ancestor event scripts when you use custom events
• Several new objects provide Class definition information for developers of tools and object frameworks
