Description

If you install the Powersoft ODBC interface that comes with PowerBuilder Enterprise, PowerBuilder Professional, PowerBuilder Desktop, or InfoMaker on Windows, the ODBC 3.0 Driver Manager is installed.

Purpose

The ODBC 3.0 Driver Manager supports access to a data source through any Level 1 or higher 32-bit ODBC 1.x, 2.x or 3.0 driver obtained from Powersoft or (for all products except PowerBuilder Desktop) from another vendor. PowerBuilder and InfoMaker still provide the ODBC 2.x Driver Manager for access through 16-bit ODBC drivers.

In most cases, other vendors' drivers will work with PowerBuilder and InfoMaker. However, Powersoft may not have tested all of these drivers to verify this.
