Description

You can now use the existing Microsoft SQL Server 6.x native database interface in PowerBuilder or InfoMaker to access a Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 database.

The Microsoft SQL Server 6.x interface goes through Microsoft SQL Server 6.x client software to make the connection. Therefore, you must have the appropriate SQL Server 6.x software installed on your client machine to use the interface.

Supported platforms

PowerBuilder and InfoMaker provide the Microsoft SQL Server 6.x interface on the following platforms:

  • Windows NT
  • Windows 95
  • Windows 3.x

Usage

All of the information in Connecting to Your Database about using the Microsoft SQL Server 6.x database interface also applies when you are connecting to a Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 database.
